Mid-poly, ultimate-fidelity, simulation-ready model of a KC-135R "Stratotanker" aerial refuelling aircraft.
----------------
The Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker is a military aerial refuelling aircraft, developed from the Boeing 367-80 prototype which later became the 707 civil airliner. It was the first USAF jet-powered refuelling tanker, first introduced in 1957, having since gone through multiple upgrades.
----------------
Shown here is a KC-135R operated by Metrea Strategic Mobility - the first private contractor in the world to operate the KC-135. Along with the boom refuelling receptor for USAF aircraft, the Metrea KC-135R is equipped with two wing-mounted Multi-Point Refuelling System (MPRS) pods, which facilitate drogue refuelling to probe-equipped aircraft (for example in the US Navy, USMC, and many NATO nations).
